Copper-plating

Description:

It’s usually used as the first metal cover, because it provides a good anchoring for the next covers and it protects the material in difficult access areas. It is a process that produces a good bright and a high levelling out in different current densities.

Applications:

It is used as the first step before the nickel plating and in order to protect processing zones as the heat treatments. When it is used as finish itself, it must be lacqued to avoid its fast oxidation.

Look/ Appearance:

It is characterized by its high brightness, very good levelling out and high ductility.
Together with the standard copper plating, in Mirvat we develop a finish known as Aged Copper too. A forced ageing is made in order to get a very characteristic appearance, reaching a very decorative finish, being so demanded for marketing, houseware, fittings, etc.
